THE OUTSIDER

Submission for The House of Illustration and Folio Society's competition to illustrate ‘The Outsider’ by Albert Camus. The brief required the selection and illustration of three passages from the book.

“For a moment I had the ridiculous impression that they were there to judge me.”

“My eyes were blinded by this veil of salty tears. All I could feel were the cymbals. The sun was clashing against my forehead.”

“I just had the impression that I was drowning in some sort of colourless liquid.”
